I have read and discussed more than 100 books in the book clubs I host since 2019. Experiencing the different opinions of a diverse group of readers has been a highly enriching and rewarding experience for me.
I host an English book club for women within the Frauenakademie, the Women’s Academy of the Ulmer Volkshochschule @vh.ulm a public adult eduction institution. You are welcome to join even if you do not live in Ulm, Germany.
We discuss one book each session. We have read a very diverse list of titles, find it here.
This semester we read books that give us a new perspective into the life of an artist, real or fictional. Our first book is “A Visit from the Goon Squad” by Jennifer Egan. The next titles will be selected by the group.
We meet via Zoom on four Thursdays 19:00-20:30 CET on October 9, November 13, December 4 and January 8 plus an in-person meeting to get to know fellow local book lovers and to chat about books in Ulm (free of charge)
